Census Comparison

Census Comparison Tool

How have housing occupancy and vacancy patterns by race changed? How has the recession impacted families? With Data Driven Detroit’s online interactive Census comparison tool, Michiganders can zoom in on a Michigan city, township, county, or census tract, and click to retrieve a report comparing comprehensive 2000 and 2010 Census data for their area of interest.

One D

One D

D3, in partnership with the Community Research Institute (CRI) at Grand Valley State University, is very pleased to announce One D, a community profile and interactive mapping tool for southeast Michigan. This mapping and neighborhood profile tool allows a user to access and compare multiple data sets and download reports and profiles.

Tax Foreclosure

Tax Foreclosure Tool

To encourage residents to participate in the auction and to make neighborhood-specific plans, Data Driven Detroit has launch a free online tool. This website is designed to provide an easier way to preview Detroit properties listed by combining maps and street-level images with local data from various sources, including distance to nearest park, grocery store, and bus stop. Detroit Residential Parcel Survey

Detroit Residential Parcel Survey Tool

The Detroit Residential Parcel Survey was a landmark survey of Detroit’s residential property. It was conceived and implemented by the Data Collaborative, a partnership between the Detroit Office of Foreclosure Prevention and Response (FPR), Community Legal Resources (CLR) and Data Driven Detroit (D3). Surveyors went out in the field in August and September of 2009 to survey every residential property with one-to-four housing units in Detroit. This included 350,000 single-family houses, duplexes, and multi-family structures up to four units. It did not include large apartment buildings or commercial structures.
