Urban Innovation Exchange

Description

Supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Urban Innovation Exchange (UIX) was a three year initiative between 2012 and 2014 to showcase and advance Detroit's growing social innovation movement. Led by Issue Media Group, with a coalition of media and community partners including D3, the goals of the project were three-fold: to raise the profile of innovators and change-makers driving impact in their communities; to better understand their work and what resources they need to move ideas forward; and, to connect, engage and inform innovators through a citywide learning network.
